PCAN-LIN Interface PCAN-LIN Interface
This module acts as a gateway between a CAN bus and a LIN bus. A software package is provided that can set up the PCAN-LIN in one of a number of modes ( CAN to LIN, Serial to CAN, Serial to LIN). The most useful of these is the CAN to LIN mode. Using it the module acts as a LIN master and sends incoming CAN packets to LIN and LIN to CAN ( with configurable offsets).

To create a PC to LIN interface combine the PCAN-USB interface (see details below) with the CAN to LIN gateway.

PCAN-USB Interface PCAN-USB Interface
PCAN-USB supports both 11 bit ID and 29 bit ID CAN specifications with a maximum speed of 1MBaud. The small USB to CAN converter is ideal for use with laptops or notebooks.

PCAN-USB includes source code for programs to control the CAN bus. It also includes PCAN-VIEW a program that provides simple CAN diagnostics, which runs on W98/2K/XP.

No termination is included in the interfaces which are available with or without opto-isolation.
